2023 was an extraordinary year for Lotus because we consolidated our international position and strengthened our commitment to be alongside industry professionals with solutions that are sensitive to market needs.
As usual we participated in the Sirha fair in Lyon, HostelCuba and FIHAV to oversee our presence in these areas. However, the event that required the most energy and influenced most of our activities was certainly the participation in HostMilano 2023, the most important event in the catering and hospitality sector, which brings together professionals and companies from all over the world. Five crucial days for international visibility and business opportunities, for which we have been preparing since January.
Our goal was to make our international audience perceive us exactly the way we are: up-to-date, competent, and very attentive to market demands. After all, attentive customer service is our promise and this is precisely the meaning of the new claim "We are your kitchen" that we created in the first months of the year. “We are your kitchen” is the value proposition we make to those looking for a reliable technical partner who listens to them, advises them, and supports them, finally making them feel unique, just as unique as the service they receive. The offer of professional catering equipment designed for energy saving, the design of kitchens focused on the functionality of the spaces, the technical and commercial support at every stage of the business relationship. Relationship and service, precisely, are the hotspot of our proposal.
We have worked on many product innovations this year and they all go in the direction of an increasing digitalisation of our equipment, optimization of energy efficiency and waste reduction thanks to the introduction of automatic intelligent controls.
-TOUCHFRYLOTUSGAS, the new fryers with touch controls for the lines 70 SUPERLOTUS and 90 IPERLOTUS, and digital systems that improve energy efficiency and cooking performance;
-EXTERNBURNERFRYERS, the new line of fryers with a completely free tank, for better practicality and ease of cleaning, with a special attention to the energy efficiency;
-90 IPERLOTUSTOUCH, the traditional 90 IPERLOTUS line enriched with touch controls, which thus becomes even more efficient and functional.
The energy efficiency of the equipment was one of our priorities this year and in 2024 we will commit to designing more and more sustainable solutions. In addition to energy efficiency, the digitalisation of machines also helps to reduce waste and limit management costs and at the same time makes the use of our machines increasingly functional, simple, and convenient.
We have also implemented many initiatives to support the entire sales network with tools that help their everyday work. Among them, the updated corporate video officially presented in Milan together with the videos shot at the fair along traditional lines, the innovations brought to Milan and the new claim, the interactive 3D virtual tour of the HostMilano stand and the new Lotus Book, and finally the new company catalogue that collects all the information about our company and the complete range of products available.
2023 was crowned with many successes and prestigious collaborations. The renovation of the kitchen and bar area of the Hotel Colombo in Milan was an ambitious and at the same time stimulating project, where in addition to being suppliers we were prime contractor. It was a big project that we carried out with the collaboration of other partners and which required a long work that began last year. The design of the kitchen of the Pomiroeu in Seregno (BM) by Chef Giancarlo Morelli who wanted to celebrate the thirtieth anniversary of his career by treating himself, the team, and the customers with the complete renovation of the restaurant's kitchen.
