We've just got back from Benghazi all fired up and ready to go: our participation in Ho.Re.Ca. Libya, from 4 to 7 May, turned out to be a hugely rewarding experience and a real source of inspiration.
This event is becoming increasingly central to the Ho.Re.Ca. sector in the country: a vibrant, dynamic trade fair capable of connecting companies and professionals within a rapidly evolving landscape. Our presence in Benghazi allowed us not only to showcase our professional kitchen equipment in person but also to engage with a market that is attentive, curious and ready to invest in quality.
The experience was made even more meaningful by the fact that Lotus was joined by our long-standing Libyan partner and importer, Abounowasl Ltd. This valuable partnership has lasted for over 25 years and rather than seeing it as just an ordinary working relationship, we consider it to be a genuine shared history. Everything began in the early 2000s, thanks to the vision of the current owner’s father, and today we continue our journey together with the second generation, with the same spirit of collaboration that has always characterised our relationship. Last year, as part of our 40th-anniversary celebrations, we also had the pleasure of celebrating our long-standing professional and personal relationship with a special award.
On the second day of the trade fair, it was our turn to be acknowledged, and it was a very emotional moment: the team from Abounowasl Ltd presented Lotus with an award in recognition of our 25-year partnership. It was an unexpected and deeply meaningful gesture, which was a source of great pride and satisfaction for us. This award is a tangible testament to the strength of a relationship built up over time, capable of transcending geographic borders, generations and the challenges that inevitably accompany decades of shared work. Receiving a public expression of appreciation from a long-standing partner confirms the importance of an approach based on mutual trust, consistency and the desire to build a lasting partnership together. These are precisely the values we continue to prioritise above all else in our work: building genuine and solid relationships that become an integral part of our company’s history over time.
We met with numerous industry professionals at the trade fair, and Lotus’s solutions for professional kitchens attracted a great deal of genuine and wide-ranging interest. Reliability, performance and attention to detail were the most highly valued aspects, generating numerous contacts and new development opportunities.
We return from Benghazi with brand new ideas, exciting opportunities and an even stronger conviction: here at Lotus, we believe that growth means doing it together with our partners.
Thank you to the team at Abounowasl Ltd for their warm welcome, for working with us during the trade fair and for these 25 years of shared history.
See you next year!
