Lotus creates the ward kitchen of the Clinique du MontLégia hospital in Belgium.

We are delighted to be able to share a wonderful experience which took place in Liegi, Belgium in such a difficult and intense period.

The end of 2019 saw the birth of the project requested by our partner Polymat, to create different ward kitchens at the Clinique du MontLégia hospital. In this time of emergency, the Clinique du MontLégia was reassigned as a reception centre for Covid-19 patients. The reassignment to manage the health crisis increased the responsibility for Lotus which has already developed a range specifically to meet all the requirements for hospital ward kitchens worldwide, in terms of organisational solutions of the modules, materials used, practicality and safety.

More specifically, this project involved the creation of a very special kitchen with very specific requirements, i.e. ultra-hygienic and modular. Consequently, we recommended the Shine Kitchen range to our partner, Polymat. This range offers a vast choice of neutral work elements with lots of accessories and add-ons, islands of efficiency which are safe to use and can be used anywhere, even in small, narrow places, ideally suited to the limited spaces of functional areas in hospitals.

Two photos which showcase the finished kitchen are provided below in which the details can be seen of all the add-ons installed for this particular project. Drawer units, work tops, base units for sinks and sink attachments were added, as well as wall units, all fitted with doors. All our kitchens are produced in stainless steel and are ultra-hygienic, perfectly adapted to a sensitive environment like that of a hospital.

Lastly, we would like to send our best wishes to all our friends in Belgium, who, like us here in Italy, are faced with a challenging situation both from a healthcare and economic point of view. We would like to send our encouragement and support to them and all the countries.

The Lotus Best Practice of the Clinique du MontLégia is part of the “Lotus Projects in the World”.
